DESIGN

It all starts with design. Any successful natural building project can only be successful with intentional and thoughtful design.  Success is measured in part by sound construction design,

but also by an engaged team working together to create the best possible product for the given project. HVNB design encompasses ALL aspects of a project when designing, including the influences of landscape, local vernacular, micro-climates, community, lifestyle, family, and culture.

For this reason, I consider it an honor to work with people on the design aspect of their project.  This is where the dreams and visions come out that so deeply reflect those who will be living with the strucutre; and we transform them from ideas into reality.

In addition to pure design, HVNB offers consultation services throughout the design and building process. 

Services can include, consulting with architects, engineers or designers, working with clients to design and/or build a project, on or off-site project management support, training, or general planning support.

Consulation services prove especially helpful for owner-builders.  HVNB operates under the premise that you dont have to know everything, because either we do, or know where to get an answer.
